You Have the Control with the Restore Backup Feature

Say goodbye to contacting our support team whenever you want to restore a backup of your site. You can now restore site backups directly from the dashboard.

What’s New?

We’ve finished building and testing the restore backups feature, and now it’s all yours. From the Backups area of the dashboard, select the backup version that you wish to restore and click Restore.

The process usually takes about 5-10 minutes, but if your site is very large, it may take longer. While your backup is being restored, we switch your site into WordPress maintenance mode, but this will disappear automatically when the restore is complete.

Important Notes

• Recent backup required: To restore a backup, you must have taken a backup within the past hour. If you haven’t, the dashboard will prompt you to do so. This ensures there is a reliable rollback version just in case something goes wrong during the recovery process. We plan to automate this in the future.
• Recovery stalls: If a backup recovery stalls, contact our support team. We’ve got a process in place to fix it.
• Email notifications: You’ll receive emails during the recovery process, once when the recovery begins and another when it is complete.
• Full restore: Restoring a site backup includes both web files and the database.
