Test Updates, Content Edits, and Design Changes in a Safe Place with Our New Staging Feature

Rapyd has launched its first version of a staging feature, enabling developers to test site edits before making them on your live site.

What’s New

The staging feature allows creation of a dedicated staging site to safely test any site updates before implementing changes on the production environment.

How It Works

Creating a Staging Site

  • Access the dashboard and click the Production tab dropdown
  • Select Create staging option
  • Build process takes approximately 10 minutes
  • Once built, test edits and updates before deploying to live site

Staging Site Specifications

  • Same specs as Developer plan: 1 vCPU, 2GB RAM, 18 PHP workers
  • Disk space matches the production site plan (e.g., 150GB for Performance plan)

Current Limitations

  • Cannot pull from production to staging with one click
  • To refresh staging, delete the site and rebuild following the creation process
  • Quick rebuild tool coming soon to replace manual process
  • Custom domains not supported on staging sites
  • Staging sites lack dedicated IP addresses
