Take Complete Control Over Your Backups with Our Dashboard’s New Backups Area

We’re excited to introduce a dedicated Backups section in the Rapyd dashboard. Previously, the platform provided daily backups automatically but lacked user controls for scheduling, manual creation, downloads, and restoration. The new Backups area addresses all of those gaps and puts you in the driver’s seat.

What’s New?

Backup Schedule

You can now adjust the timing of your automatic daily backups. Schedule your site’s backups during off-peak times to reduce load on your server and ensure they run when traffic is lowest.

Last Performed

The interface now displays when the most recent site backup was completed, so you always know the state of your latest backup at a glance.

Backup Storage

Backups are stored off-site without impacting your disk space. The system uses incremental backups: the initial backup stores a copy of your entire site, then each subsequent backup only records changes. This keeps storage efficient while maintaining full restore capability.

Create Manual Backups

You can now generate backups on-demand whenever you need them. Creating a manual backup before making any major changes to your website is a best practice that gives you a reliable rollback point.

Download Backups

Need a local copy? You can now generate download links for your off-site backups. Download links remain active for 24 hours, giving you plenty of time to save a copy to your own storage.

Restore Backup

The restore option is visible in the interface and will be fully enabled soon. In the meantime, if you need to restore a backup, please reach out to our support team and we’ll handle it for you.
